- Description
- Photograph of the first house that the family of George M. West lived in when they arrived in Los Angeles. Sichel Street stretches across the foreground on an upward angle from right to left. The house stands on the right side of the street, left-of-center, and facing slightly left. A low concrete wall rises from the sidewalk and lines the front yard. The single-story home is viewed at angle from the front and the right side. A bay window extends from the right corner of the front of the house. A porch stretches across the left side of the front of the house. Three windows line the right side of the home. A neighboring house stands in partial view in the background at left. A utility pole at left rises from the street curb and extends beyond the top edge.
