Mertie West and Agnes Whitaker sit on chairs while Forrest Whitaker stands next to them. Mr. Whitaker smokes a pipe and holds on to the trunk of a small tree. Mrs. West looks to the right. Mrs. Whitaker's back is to the camera. There is a bed at the left with a plaid blanket on it. In the background, there is an awning propped up.
Mertie West was H. H. West's second wife. Forrest Whitaker was Mertie's brother, and Agnes Whitaker was Forrest's wife.
