Lester Shaw was Mertie Whitaker's nephew. Mertie Whitaker became H. H. West's second wife in the 1920's.
Lester Shaw stands by a chalkboard sign holding firecrackers. Firecrackers also stick out of his pockets. He wears a hat and looks of to his right. The sign lists food, including fish dinner, clam chowder, rice tomato soup, salad, and baked fish. There is a covered patio behind him where people sit on benches. There is a wooden walkway leading up to the patio. American flags fly from the patio and another building is visible behind it. - Caption
