Notes
- Description
- Photograph, from left to right, of Mertie West, Glen Velzy and Nina Hiser-Meyers posing as they and their pack mule arrive at Glen Velzy's cabin in Santa Anita Canyon. They are gathered in a small clearing. Mertie West stands on the cleared ground at left and looks to the camera. The pack mule stands to the right of her. It is laden with gear and is viewed at an angle from the side; the animal faces towards the right. In front and to the right of the mule, Glen Velzy and Nina Hiser-Meyers sit along a low rock wall. Glen leads forward and looks to the camera. Nina sits in front and to the right of Glen. She faces left and gazes off in that direction. A large rock sits in front of Nina in the lower right corner. Behind the rock, the rock wall stretches towards the center of the image. Trees line the background.
