Text from the verso of a photograph print of this image indicates a date of "Sept 6 1931."
Photograph of several men walking along a dock that juts out into Lake Hodges. A sandy and grassy shoreline stretches across the image's foreground. The narrow, wood-planked dock extends at an upward angle from the shore at left and out over the lake at center. About 4 men walk along the dock with their backs to the camera and 2 other men stand near anchored boats at the far end of the dock. The lake stretches across the image behind them. Low mountains rise from the opposite bank in the background. - Caption
