- Photograph of Mary A. West standing over a cooking pot and Chester Schmitz sitting by the stream in camp during a trip to Silver Lake. Mary A. West stands, left-of-center, in the near distance and slightly obscured by shrubbery to her left. She looks down as she seems to wash clothing in a pot. To her right, Chester Schmitz sits with his back to the camera. In the foreground, a pile of broken sticks sits at center. Behind and to the right of it, the camp stove sits on the ground with 2 pots sitting on its burners. A rack stands to the immediate right of it.
