He stands behind a wire fence and looks to the camera. He rests one hand up on a wooden fence post. To his right, Wilfrid Cline, Jr. hunches over the well's bucket to get a drink of water. He stands in profile facing the well immediately to the right of him. The well is a wooden shack that stands at right. It faces left. A car is parked behind Harry Schmitz. - Text from negative sleeve: 1033. Trinity County trip, 1917. Bear Flat. We go from Cayton thru the pines to the McCloud River for some fishing. On the road is Bear Flat, where is a well of ice cold water. We stop to drink. Left to right: Harry Schmitz, Wilfrid Cline Jr drinking from the old bucket in the well. 1 film
