- Photograph looking southeast down the mountainside of Mount Tamalpais towards the double bow knot of the Mt. Tamalpais and Muir Woods Railroad and surrounding area. Shrubbery stands in the immediate foreground. Looking beyond that, a bird's-eye view looking southeast from Mt. Tamalpais looks across the Marin County peninsula. At center, the double bow knot section of railroad tracks climbs up the mountainside. In the distance and to the left of the tracks, Mill Valley is visible. The Marin County peninsula stretches into the background towards San Francisco Bay.
