- An out-of-focus photograph, from left to right, of Mertie Whitaker and Zetta Witherby leaving a gas station and walking towards the camera after taking a stop on their way home from Rincon Point. They walk, in the near distance, left-of-center, across a roadway and facing towards the camera. A light post stands behind them and to the right. Beyond the light post, the station (partial view) stands to the right. A man tends to a car parked at the station. A sign above the carport reads, "UNIO[N] [G]ASOLINE." A couple of cars are parked at left behind the women. Slivers of mountains are visible in the far distance at left.
