Shed on the West family's former property. It has two windows that flank the door. There is a short set of stairs with a piece of material placed on top. A fence is open against the left side of the shed. There is a hen house and what may be another structure behind the shed. There are other structures visible at the right. There are trees in the background and at the left.

- Text from negative sleeve: 771. East. Red Oak, Iowa. 1900. The cob shed on the old West home place. Under the cottonwoods. Here we spread our walnuts, hazel nuts, and hickory nuts to dry. The hen house may be seen in the rear. It has a little cupola, like the one on the barn.
