George M. West was H. H. West's father.
School with children in front. It is either the North Ward School or Red Oak High School. There is a girl sitting on a window ledge and another girl holding what appears to be a parasol. There are two boys sitting on the side of the stairs. The school has a belfry at the top. There are other buildings visible at either side of the school, as well as trees.
