- Photograph, from left to right, of Al Schmitz and Glen Velzy standing near two parked cars while stopped during a trip through Mendocino County. They stand, left-of-center, in the distance and face each other. Directly behind them, one of the group's cars is parked facing towards the right. To the right and nearer to camera, H. H. West's Buick is parked, viewed from the side with the front facing towards the right. Mary West can be seen sitting in the car. A dirt road occupies the foreground and narrows towards the left. Picket fencing and trees stretch along the far side of the road behind the cars.
