Group sits on covered, horse-drawn cart while Independence (Inda) Stevens and two other man stand next to it. They are stopped on a dirt road. The photograph is a bit blurry making it difficult to identify the people on the cart.

Text from negative sleeve: 634. East. Red Oak, Iowa. Meads. September 1900. At Lewis Lake. In the summer of 1900 I took mother east for a trip. We stopped at Red Oak, Iowa, went up to Elliott, and thence out to Mead's farm 7 miles east of Elliott. While at Meads, Will Mead got up a party to go to Lewis Lake, a few miles north of their farm. Here is the rig, and the party. I cannot recall all who were along but there was Will Biddick, Fannie Biddick, Walter Biddick, Grace Biddick, Emma Manker, India [sic] Stevens, Sena Burris, Maggie Burris, H. H. West, Will Mead. 3 films.
