- Description
- A blurry and out-of-focus photograph of H. H. West posing for a photograph next to fish caught by him and his fishing party near Newport Beach pier. H. H. West stands at right and looks towards the camera while cradling an upright fishing rod. He props a foot on a crate, which reads, "HYDRO PUR." On his other side, a long beam extends from his hip horizontally to the left. About a score of fish hang vertically from this beam. Slightly elevated from the beach, a small dwelling stands in the background at left. Left-of-center, H. H. West's Buick is parked up the small hill behind him and telephone poles extend into the distance at right.
