- Photograph of H. H. West's duck hunting party's tent at their campsite near New River in the Imperial Valley. The tent is viewed from one of the back corners. Stakes in the ground at left secure the ropes of the tent. The side and back flaps of the tent are lifted up and a member of H. H. West's hunting party is reclining inside with his back to the camera (maybe Joe Pike). To the right of the tent, plates and cups sit atop a crate. A kettle sits on the ground in front of them.
