Wilhelmina Lemberger West was H. H. West's mother. Mary West (Mary Adelbert Teel West Shepard) was H. H. West's wife, and Elizabeth and Frances were their daughters.
Wilhelmina West, Mary West, H. H. Cooper, and Frances and Elizabeth West sit around a picnic blanket. Wilhelmina West is visible in profile. She is chewing and holds a piece of food in her hand. She has white cloth or paper on her lap. Mary West looks at the camera. She wears a large hat that ties under he chin. Mr. Cooper smokes a cigar and wears a hat. Frances and Elizabeth sit on a long cushion. Both girls have bows in their hair. Frances holds a bottle. Elizabeth holds her hand up to her mouth. She is eating. Papers, cups, and what may be a canteen are on the picnic blanket. A car is behind the group at the left. There are trees, bushes, mountains, and a utility pole in the background. - Caption
