- Photograph of three men trying to get a donkey into a harness at Captain C. E. (Cameron Erskine) Thom's ranch in Glendale. The donkey (partial view) faces camera but its head is turned toward the left. The man closest to the camera on the right faces left and affixes a bridle to the donkey's head. Another man stands to the left of the donkey. He faces the camera and holds the animal's mouth closed. A third man stands behind the donkey and is mostly obscured from view. They stand in the middle of a barnyard where a couple of horses graze in the background at right.
