Notes
- Description
-
Photograph, from left to right, of Elizabeth and Frances West scrambling across rocks next to the bank of the Big Tujunga Creek. At left, Elizabeth West moves towards the right, in a crouched position, across the rocks. Frances West does the same ahead of her on the right. Both girls wear printed skirts, white tops and white bows in their hair. Frances wears a bracelet on her wrist. A large rock in water lies in the foreground. Behind the girls, the base of a hillside is strewn with rocks and boulders.
Frances West and Elizabeth West were about 6 and 9 years old, respectively, in 1912. They look older than that in this photograph.
