- Men and women in front of the cribs on Alameda Street. The cribs, which were buildings rented out exclusively for the transactional business of prostitution, are low, brick buildings with shutters. A woman is visible at the bottom right of the photograph. Another woman, probably a prostitute, stands between two men. Another man's leg is visible at the right of the photograph at the top of the stairs.
