Conflicting stories surround the events of Christmas celebrations hosted and attended by Ted Healy. His former acting partner Bonnie Bonnell accused him of setting fire to her home, which lead to his eight hour stay in a jail cell Christmas morning, until he was released on a $1000 bond.
Bonnie Bonnell stands beside Ted Healy, holding what appears to be a lion cub on a leash.
Photograph appears with the article, "Alibi Ready, Says Healey," Los Angeles Times, 27 Dec 1935: A8.
