At left, Willard James Turntine wears prison garb as he is escorted through the jail. He walks away from camera, but turns his head towards camera. Beside him at right, guard Floyd Mellor stands on the near side of the barred jail door as he escorts Turntine back to the jail. Turntine was in custody as a witness and for allegedly abetting Harry Thompson in selling U. S. Navy secrets to foreign powers.
