Dr. George C's Bergman and his family were 7th Day Adventists missionaries in Ethiopia. He founded a hospital in Dessie and was the superintendent of Zauditu Memorial Sanitarium and Hospital in Addis Ababa. When Italy was ready to invade Ethiopia in 1935, he sent his family back to Los Angeles, but he remained to take care of any casualties.
