Text from newspaper caption: These men are not trying to decide which shell the little bean is under. They are miners from Baker. Charles Boyd, at left, has just received three buttons of gold from the assay office. Peter Flury, at right, and John Herrod are trying to designate the one containing the most copper. The slugs of yellow metal came from different claims.
