Text of press release: Watch Your Credit -- "P & A Photos" LA 14925 -- (Los Angeles Bureau). Damaging Evidence Given In Kelley Trial. Leo P. Kelley was sober on the day he was arrested for the murder of this clandestine sweetheart, Mrs. Myrtle Mellus, according to witnesses on the stand today. Damaging evidence was given by officers who arrived at the scene of the crime and found Kelley hiding in a closet of the Mellus home. Photo shows Deputy District Attorney James Costello (left) and Police Captain Arthur Stoll on the witness stand identifying an article of clothing, said to belong to Kelley, which was found in the Mellus home.
