Fingerprints found in the apartment matched those found on ransom notes sent to Perry M. Parker, father of Marion Parker, kidnap and murder victim. Hickman was tried and sentence to death for the crime. He was executed at San Quentin, October 22, 1928.
John Henry, proprietor of the Bellevue Arms apartment building (1170 Bellevue Avenue), who positively identified William Edward Hickman as the occupant of apartment No. 315.
