Santa Anita Park, the oldest thoroughbred racetrack in Southern California, opened on December 25, 1934.
View of about 12 construction workers in the grandstand area of Santa Anita Park. Two in the foreground are working on planks of wood on 2 saw horses. Behind them is a stack of lumber and 3 other workers. A box on the ground on the fight reads "24 - 10 Ounce Packages/Kellogg's/Pep/Bran Flakes/keep going."
