Nationally syndicated newspaper columnist Westbrook Pegler
Westbrook Pegler was a nationally known newspaper columnist who opposed the New Deal and was staunchly anti-union. His editorial column Fair Enough ran in the Los Angeles Times from Oct. 15, 1939 to September 4, 1944. He also had a sports column that appeared in the newspaper from 1925 to 1930. Pegler won a Pulitzer prize in 1941 for his columns exposing racketeering in Hollywood labor unions.
