Text from newspaper caption: Now that the St. Louis Cardinals own the Sacramento franchise in the Pacific Coast League, Branch Rickey has sent his prize scouts out here to scour California for young baseball prospects. Here are Joe Schultz, Sacramento scout; Charley Barrett, head scout of the Cards' chain-store system, and Bill Killefer, who'll manage the Senators this year.
