Text from newspaper caption: Mmes. Roth Hamilton, C. A. Parmalee, Sr., and Frances Eugene Payne, president, seated, and Mmes. Jean Colwell, of San Pedro and E. H. Blaisdell, standing, of Euterpe Opera Reading Club, attended the program when army officers' wives from Fort MacArthur were honored. More than a thousand women were present to hear the "Daughter of the Regiment."
