Boxer Jack Dempsey with wife Hannah Dempsey and daughter Joan Hannah while on a cross-country vacation with his mother. Jack Dempsey was an American professional boxer and a cultural icon of the 1920s. He held the World Heavyweight Championship from 1919 to 1926. He is a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame. His wife, popular as Hannah Williams, was a musical comedienne.
