Mary Bovard holds trophy and Pekingese dog, Lovette, outside the Ambassador Auditorium. Both were participants in the 4th annual Canine Specialty Club dog show at the auditorium in Los Angeles.
Bovard was a movie actress in the 1930s and 1940s, known predominantly for supporting roles.
