Related to multiple articles dealing with Jean P. Peirce, policewoman, who shot and killed O. D. Yancey, policeman, on October 20, 1935. She claimed to have mistaken him for a burglar and shot to frighten him off, accidentally killing him. She was acquitted. The story was covered in the Los Angeles Times from October 21-December 7, 1935.
