Portrait photographer of Jose E. Campos. He is seated facing forward, looking off camera. Campos was a Mexican newspaper publisher, founding La Prensa and Excelsior.
Jose E. Campos traveled to Los Angeles to purchase printing equipment for a new newspaper in Torreon, Mexico, one of the richest districts in Mexico, whose principal crop was cotton.
