Los Angeles Times, 6 Apr. 1922. Print. The article states: "… That the four men are members of the band that held up and robbed the Bank of Alhambra Tuesday afternoon and escaped with $700 in cash was asserted by the arresting officers …" (2) "Outlaws Raid Alhambra Bank, Armed Men Grab Cash and Escape to City, Seven Hundred Dollars is Taken from Cage, Robbers Force Autoists to Help Their Flight." Hernandez and Jiminez were convicted but later cleared. Cf. the article, "Southland Criminals Paid in Blood By Grim Fate." Los Angeles Times, 27 Jul. 1924. The article states: "… First National Bank of Arcadia on April 5, 1922 … robbery was the work of … 'One Eyed' Tom Grey … Eddie Burns, William McMahon, known as 'Little Mack' … Frank 'Frankie' J. Sullivan … E.S. McCardle, known as 'Big Mack.' While these men committed the robbery, they sat back in perfect safety and watched three Mexicans tried, convicted, and sentenced for the crime. … Salvadore Mendivil, Brulio Galindo, Jose Hernandez, and Juan Jiminez, were arrested … identified as the bandits. … The first three were sentenced to San Quentin penitentiary. The fourth Mexican, Juan Jiminez, died before sentence could be imposed. …"
