The Ocean Park Annual CHildren's Floral Parade was a community event started in 1919. The Parade in 1936 was supported by the Santa Monica Bay district clubwomen and civic leaders, with Mayor Gillette and the City Council also providing their support. The Flowers were supplied by city parks and private gardens.

The event was covered in a Los Angeles Times article, "Hundreds of Children to be in Floral Parade," 27 Aug. 1936: 10.
Photograph of two young women (possibly identified as Joan Noble, Ser. Reynolds in photograph - refer to Ark) participating at the Seventeenth Annual Ocean Park Children's Floral parade. The baskets in front of their bicycles are filled with flowers. They both wear badges the read, "Children's Floral Pageant; Ocean Park, California." In the background is an arched sign, "Thank You Please Call Again and a vertical signboard for "Hotel St. Regis Apts." to the left.
