Clayton A. Dills won a seat in the California State Assembly in 1942 and, with his brother Ralph C. Dills, became the first team of brothers to ever serve in the state Assembly. Ralph also became a State Senator. Clayton and Ralph, and their brothers Paris and Curly, were also musicians who performed together.
