The Knights of Columbus held a four-day convention in Santa Monica that included a procession to City Hall (on May 8th). The event was noted in the article, "Columbus Knights Gather for Four-Days Convention," Los Angeles Times, 8 May 1938.

Santa Monica City Hall was located at 4th Street and Oregon Avenue (later changed to Santa Monica Boulevard) from 1903 to 1938.
