The float carries five young women wearing formal dresses and holding bouquets of flowers. One young woman waves to the crowds from her seat at the top of the float. Words spelled out in flowers around the float read: "First Party Formal" and "Pasadena Schools..." Throngs of spectators are captured seated and standing along a Pasadena street. Signs for businesses lining the street include: "Hardware," "Bank of America," "Save Way Drugs" [sign for this business also advertises Coca Cola], "Mobil gas," "...Wright Co." and "Real Estate."
