The Casa de Don Dolores Sepúlveda was an adobe home an adobe home located near San Vicente Springs at South Bundy Drive and Nebraska Ave. José Dolores Sepúlveda, b. 1826-1905, was the son of Francisco Sepúlveda, holder of the original land grant for Rancho San Vicente y Santa Monica. The home was once part of Rancho San Vicente.
A young woman stands with a toddler at the Casa de Don Dolores Sepúlveda. The unidentified woman (wearing a skirt, blouse, sweater and wedge-heeled shoes) stands within a wood-framed doorway of the dilapidated structure. Burlap sacks and wooden slats (or fencing) rest against the exposed adobe brick walls. One section of the wall is gutted. Above, the roof’s rafters are exposed, with portions of the roof missing all-together. Power lines cross overhead.
