Photograph of a painted plastic rabbit wearing a tuxedo and ribbon bowtie. The decoration is set on a woven mat between two potted hydrangeas. An additional display and a cluster of plants can be viewed in the background.
Paul Howard’s California Flowerland nursery was located at 11700 National Boulevard (on the corner of Barrington and National), in the Mar Vista neighborhood in West Los Angeles. The renowned horticulturalist opened the nursery on June 29, 1940. It was sold soon after Howard’s death in 1966.
