Photograph of tulips arranged in a shallow Virgin Mary. The items are place in front of a mirror that reflects them as well as additional items on display in the store.
Paul Howard’s California Flowerland nursery was located at 11700 National Boulevard (on the corner of Barrington and National), in the Mar Vista neighborhood in West Los Angeles. The renowned horticulturalist opened the nursery on June 29, 1940. It was sold soon after Howard’s death in 1966.
