Cast members of "O.K. by Me," with director Louise Glaum, seen at left holding what appears to be a playbill. Cast includes Peggy O'Connell (standing right of Glaum), Pearle Jennings (in blackface, holding a whisk broom), and Judith Evans.
Louise Glaum produced and directed “O.K. By Me,” a comedy written by Sheldon Shedard. Glaum was an actress, drama teacher and director who was active in the Los Angeles area for over 60 years. Originally known as one of the first “vamp” actresses, she later opened several theaters in Los Angeles and an acting school.
This production was referenced in two Los Angeles Times articles: “Stage Farce Offered at Beaux Arts Theater,” 11 Oct. 1952, and “Beaux Arts Will Reopen,” 19 Sep. 1952.
