Notes
- Description
- Two color sketches representing the Yukon River’s varied landscapes. At top: a red sky is permeated by the sun’s rays radiating from behind a mountain range along the Yukon River. Bottom: Bartlett continues to manipulate the natural landscape, placing an undulating green string strung with hanging fibers (possibly) through an otherwise naturalistic sky. Below the sky sits a landscape of flat plains and distant mountains. Adelbert Bartlett, artist.
