- Four performers in a John Burroughs Jr. High School play. They are dressed in 17th century attire and are most likely portraying early settlers (possibly Jamestown or Plymouth). The two females wear bonnets, dresses with aprons tied at the waist, and scarves around their necks. One is seated at a spinning wheel seen with a spool of yarn is seen wound on a spindle. The standing male is dressed as a soldier. He holds a long firearm in one hand and a morion helmet in the other, and wears a breast plate over his doublet (jacket). The seated male wears a cloak, jacket, breeches and stockings, a Pilgrim’s hat rest on his thighs. The setting is the interior of a log dwelling with a stone fireplace. Additional props include a large wooden bench, a wooden bucket (at right), a kettle that hangs inside of the fireplace, and a pitcher of flowers atop the mantle.
