Text stored with negative: San Diego, Calif:--He's the sheriff of Gold Gulch. Harry Oliver, famous motion picture art director and authority on the days of '49, is chosen to head the mining camp of gold rush days which is being reproduced at the California Pacific International Exposition in San Diego. His title is Sheriff and Alcade, and his star reads, "Sheriff of Gold Gulch, I'm afraid everything is alright." The mining camp, complete from dance halls to stamp mills and mine shafts, occupies 22 acres in a canyon of the Exposition grounds. This picture is [...[Photo by Powell Press Service [...]
