Aimee McPherson was widely known for being an alleged kidnapping victim in 1926.
Aimee McPherson convinced her followers to purchase real estate for Angelus Temple and was being charged with a fraud suit for taking commission on the transaction.
Text from the ad urging Angelus Temple to support McPherson: "To Members of Angelus Temple, its Branches and Christian Friends--Don't let outsiders buy Tahoe Cedars way from you."
