The camera looks over the large crowd and towards a podium, off-center to the right, and the Sixth Street Viaduct at left. Hundreds stand in the crowd in the foreground. They stand with their backs to the camera. The podium stands ahead of them, just right-of-center. A man stands at the front, leftmost, side of the bunting-decorated podium and addresses the crowd. Others sit behind him on the podium. Between the crowd and the podium, a band is barely visible sitting. A tall tower rises along the right edge, behind the podium. The crowd extends into the distance and beneath the arched bridge at left. Bunting hangs from the beams of the bridge. A vehicle sits in the middle of the bridge and amongst the crowd. Beyond the bridge, the roadway, lined by lampposts and banners, stretches into the distance.
