Kidnap and assault victim Leota Vogel in the hospital after she was attacked by four men.
This photograph (cropped) appears with the article, "Noose Faced For Attack; Plight of Girl Shocks Police; Officers Work to Clinch Death Penalty for Four Linked to Crime," Los Angeles Times, 12 Dec. 1934: 3.
Vogel was walking home with a male friend when she was kidnapped. Her companion was attacked and left behind when Vogel was taken away in the attackers' car. Police found Vogel while the attack was still going on and her alleged attackers were arrested that night. They were; Earnest Ramirez, Cecilia Licon, Ramon Roucho, and Ramon Pena.
