Photographer's caption notes: #1 & 2 Getting ready to drop a mine from the deck of the Baltimore. #3 Rear Admiral Spencer S. Wood commander of the Blue Fleet. #4 & 5 Admiral Wood and staff arrive on board the Baltimore. 6 -- Close up of Admiral Wood and Capt. Edward McCauley [possibly the word "capt.", but illegible] of Baltimore and Mine Force. 7 & 8, 5 inch - 51 cal. gun crew in action on Baltimore, 9 & 10 -- [caption writing illegible, possibly referring to images of deck taken from one of the ship's masts.]
