The theme of the 1933 forty-fourth annual Rose Parade was "Fairy Tales in Flowers."
This float is a floral rendition of the newly completed city of South Gate with Arlene Tweedy and La Vonne Ehlers guarding the golden gates at the front of the float. The float was photographed Orange Grove Blvd. before the start of the Rose Parade. - Caption
